I finally glued my Jaguar puzzle....I used mod podge puzzle saver...first time gluing a puzzle...I almost forgot the baking paper...that would have been real fun 😂 I used an old debit card to spread the glue

I don’t know, I tried some Euro Jigsaw Jam online events and found really embarassing to be one of the slowest ones :-( on Saturday I go to my very first in person competition and I even convinced some family members to come with me as a team… I am really nervous about them and about the competition :-(

Interesting technique I have not done exactly like this before but am currently doing a 1500 piece puzzle wth a forrest landscape that is basically all different greens. I decided to approach it by not sorting that much and started with the top left corner of the puzzle and am slowly working my way out from that ☺

I like tighter fit more, i dont mind taking time to dissembling, as i usually listen something while doing it. Second hand puzzles are always a little risk. I have had one puzzle which was sticky, greasy and smelling odd. Like who made it was eating chips and drinking soda same time and some of it ended up on the puzzle. 😐

I just finished Colin Thompson's Bizarre Bookshop #2, 1000 pc. It was my first by this artist, and I loved it. I am not a speed puzzle at all, and I think it took me about 7 1/2 hrs total, doing a very rough sort (edges, significant colour blocks and little pink creatures). If I had a bone to pick, it would be that the image on the box is not quite big enough and the poster inside is SMALLER! What is the point of a poster that is smaller than the box image?? In the end, perhaps it was more fun to discover the tiny elements as I did the puzzle rather than finding them in the poster or box image, but my older eyes sure struggles at times. I will definitely do another by this artist if I can find one - and I thought 1000 pc was about right.

Love your videos with Alison. That first one is a lovely image. Seeing the big art one on the wall makes me want to rewatch it again so Sunday evening here now and watching it again from the beginning. This will be my 3rd time 😂 I really love the image,the voice over where you give info and above all your enthusiasm. As much as I enjoy watching speed puzzling I really really love watching the large count puzzles. Here's wishing both Vicky and Janine good luck in the UK nationals. Thanks for another great video. I don't think there is any hope of ever being that fast. It is too bad because I would love to hang out with other puzzle people at the contests.

It's just so cool to see that I'm not the only one! I've been doing Build-as-you-sort forever (mostly because flipping and sorting is not fun). I do it more in the "hunt for certain types of pieces in the box" kind of way than the "pull out every piece" kind of way, but this was the most similar I've seen a puzzle done on UA-cam to my style. I've participated in my first local contest in May and got a 1:03:32 with my technique (the adrenaline certainly helped) which still is my personal record. I have tried more conservative methods but I tend to get overwhelmed when there are too many pieces spread out around and get huge space management issues. It helps me to only have pieces in the working area that I know where they go. On the other hand shuffling through the box loses time as well as switching context between different areas often (which will happen as you always miss pieces and don't 100% complete sections). So I'm still on the fence if I want to keep my technique as it is or change it for faster times..

This Fashionista puzzle is so fun! It is the first 1000 puzzle I timed, and I did it in 3h27. I was very happy with that result, even tough I slowed down at the grey pieces. Damelsa is easily one of my favourite illustrators and I can't wait to do more puzzles by her.

I did the bizarre bookshop. It is not a hard puzzle. I managed to do it in less than 6 hours.

OMG, you and Alison did so well with the Lanarch Castle puzzle. I am determined to do it again and actually finish it this time BUT NOT YET!!! I have so many lovely puzzles which are awaiting my attention. However, it isn't going to beat me and one day it is coming back out and I am doing it. Have done the art gallery puzzle and it is a lovely one to do. Looking forward to seeing what puzzle you are battling with next week.

Well done for putting yourselves through the torture of that castle jigsaw. 👍 Colin Thompson jigsaws are ones that you will either enjoy or get frustrated with. I see from my list that I have done five of his puzzles. Ludicrous Library, Bizarre Bookshop 1 & 2, Flying Home and Tomorrow's World. Of those the ones I liked best were the last two. The Bizarre Bookshop ones drove my late husband and I nuts doing them! I don't mind doing busy puzzles but I certainly wouldn't speed run them. Today I finished doing Ravensburger's 1000 jigsaw called Squishmallows Squish Squad. Lovely puzzle but it has a repeat pattern so it got tricky working out what went where. Look forward to your next video.

OMG, I just ordered this puzzle! I ve found last piece in an Croatian online store for 16,90 € (down from 44,33 €) and also there I have bought Ravensburger Tigers in Paradise 3000 pieces for 13,90€. Uh, I m so so happy! My biggest puzzle until now was 2000 pieces. I hope I will manage.. :D :D Thx for your tips for this puzzle! I would love that so big puzzles come in more bags.

It feels like we have to wait for ever for reveal, so excited 🤩 im just wondering how i can distract my spouse so he wont notice when i get more puzzles... 🤔

Puzzling is so much fun! Maybe it would be nice to have in the google form not only the number of pieces that didn’t made it to the puzzle in the 90 minutes, but also the total time to complete the puzzle, so we can compare how slow we are. 😂😂 🧩

So I now what you meant when you said there was a twist to BOTYP 4. Personally I feel this has spoiled the fun to some degree. Those of us who aren't fast will be counting pieces after the 90 minutes. 🧩 Hopefully Michelle is correct and the puzzle will be available worldwide. 🗺 Anyway it will be an interesting birthday weekend for me as I celebrate it on the 30th. I shall be interested to see what the jigsaw turns out to be.

Last comment - time to return to life. Blue Kazoo pieces are "slicker" than Art & Fable, but still as "matte". I researched "paper" until I turned blue in the face. Basically, printers offer a wide array of papers - coated and uncoated, glossy, matte, linen, laid, silky, velvet, you name it. Art & Fable puzzles are manufactured by Trefl as far as I know. I cannot get into the Blue Kazoo website today. Started watching "Novel Avenue" videos. Thanks for them. Time to return to "fun".
